fall routine

We have gotten into a fall routine. Keira LOVES school and all the silly songs, art projects and stories that go along with it. She likes having something fun to do twice a week and it does help the week go by faster. It is difficult to get her ready ( dressed, eaten breakfast, teeth brushed etc) and out the door by 8:35ish but we are working on being a bit faster in the am. She is also loving Ballet and all in all we are happy we signed her up for both.
Not to long ago I wondering if Israel would walk or talk first. Surprisingly he is talking before he is walking. Since he crawled before 6 months and is a very agile climber we thought for sure he would be walking or running around by 9/10/11 months at least. He cruises and climbs and stands for mins at a time. He can even stand bend over and pick something up and continue standing but other than taking maybe 1 step or so he doesn't attempt to walk. He gets on all 4's and crawls wicked fast. Obviously he has plenty of time to figure out how to walk.
But he has started to talk and now has 7-8 words. His favorite besides "bye bye" is "No no no" I guess we say it so often now ( because he is always getting into trouble) he has picked it up and says it with amazing clarity. He can often be see doing something naughty ( like playing with the toilet paper roll or trying to put something in an electrical outlet) and he will shake his head and say to himself "No No no!!" Its hilarious. We need to get it on video. Sometimes all we have to do is say his name in a certain tone and he looks at us and says "No no no!" with a big grin of course!

Baby #3 update

Today I had my first "prenatal" appointment and heard the baby's heartbeat for the first time. Always a good sign! I guess I can no longer be in denial that I am indeed pregnant. Don't laugh- pregnancy is a LONG commitment for a woman- 9months to get there (with all the loveliness of weight gain, lack of sleep, exhaustion and puking) and 9 months to lose the weight, starting sleeping again etc. Don't forget the 24-7 breastfeeding as well. Mentally I was not ready to do it again but ready or not HERE WE COME! :o) We are all excited to meet the new baby in 6 months and on a sooner note find out the gender in 4 weeks. Woohoo. At this point neither Mike or nor I have a gender preference really ( I say really because I think deep down I want another girl) ... in the long run I would much rather have a house full of girls than boys but being that Israel and this baby are going to be 18 months apart if they were the same sex they might play together really well? Maybe? I can hope? Since Keira and Israel don't exactly play together well at all. We will take what God gives us but I can't wait to find out so we can get serious on figuring out a name and doing all that fun nesting of washing clothes, diapers and blankets and getting it all together.
Pre-natal 1 (14 weeks)
Baby- HR 155ish
Mom-BP 106
Weight gain- 4 lbs
Nausea? STILL HERE.

Climbing the walls

2 days of rain and the kids are climbing the walls. Literally! Mostly just Israel! The boy needs to go outside everyday. Mike was entertaining the kids by giving the rides in the laundry basket. Not sure what we are going to do this winter!

Apples and Pumpkins

Love this Apple Orchard for its very cool kids play area. The kids didn't want to leave even after over an hour. Beautiful views too.

My 12 week profile.

Yes indeed I look pregnant.

Happy 29th Birthday Mike!!!!

Keira on a sugar high after eating just the frosting and singing daddy Happy Birthday.

Mike's last birthday in his 20's. I'm next. Boy are we getting old! :o) We had vanilla cupcakes with chocolate frosting to celebrate. Daddy got some games from us as a gift ( the rest of his gift was the GPS he got for our anniversary). We spent the day apple picking and went out to dinner at IHOP on the way home. Okay so IHOP is not exactly fine dining or romantic or a place you would go for a birthday dinner. But we were hungry and wanted breakfast and had two tired hungry kids with us so we needed some place cheap, good and fast. It works. Keira got a free kids meal and we split the breakfast platter. We spent a grand total of $12 including 20% tip.
Happy Birthday to the awesomist ( is that a word?) dad and husband I know.

Kaleidoscope Museum

Friday AM was rainy and we needed to get out of the house. We talked Alexis and kids into coming with us to the Kaleidoscope Museum and spent a fun 3 hours there.

Our artist

Keira loves painting at preschool and at home. Memere and Pepere bought her this easel and she is getting plenty of use out of it.
