Taking a few bites
Israel is getting a bit demanding so we let him have a taste of 'real" food and now he whines if he sees someone eating. I'm a big fan of baby self feeding so here he is making a mess ( and maybe eating a bit) of an Ak Mak cracker ( yummy wheat Armenian crackers from Trader Joes) His spitting up has finally decreased somewhat although he does still spit up enough that we still need burp rags in every room of the house. Still no teeth. But after almost 2 months of army crawling and inch room crawling he can now officially hands and knees crawl and he does crawl EVERYWHERE. The driveway, grass, all over the house. He has even tried climbing/crawling the stairs but so far is not successful. Another week and he is going to be 8 months old. Crazy!

This is what Israel does in the morning when Mike was taking a shower... He crawls into the bathroom looking for whoever is behind the shower curtain! Don't mind the pink diaper.... its a hand me down from his sister.

Hot and steamy...
It was very hot and humid today. Probably more humid. Hence the kids are half naked. It was simply to hot for clothes for them.... ( I was fully clothed all day in case anyone was wondering). These pics were all taken after 4 pm and it was still super hot. Keira was in the pool all morning so we had to find other things to do. The giant boxes from Keira's playhouse proved to be very entertaining!

Keira's playhouse
We bit the bullet and purchased a very cool swing set last weekend ( with some help from aunts, uncles, and grandparents.) It came with a play "cottage" Mike spent 8+ hours working on it yesterday. Its about 85% finished. The rest of the fence needs to be added, the door, and a few other things that make it "cute" The swing set is huge so until we now if we are moving or not its not going up. Mike wants to make it a permanent thing and prepare the ground with mulch or play ground wood chips etc. That requires alot of digging and $ for the mulch so for now the swing set sits in boxes in the basement and shed. Its cedar so the basement smells like cedar which I love!

Swimming!
Israel got his first pool experience this afternoon. I filled up the pool around 8 am and it sat in the sun till around 230 so it was super warm and bath waterish. At first he loved it and splashed around laughing and crawling... then Keira dumped water on his head or baptized him as she would say ( lets just say that she is not exactly a model big sister) and went down the slide sending big splashes his way and after that he was done with the pool.
Ranch dressing
One rainy day this week Keira helped me make some homemade ranch salad dressing ( her favorite) We picked some fresh chives and added them to the dressing as Keira is aways ready to use her scissors.
