After babysitting Keira's cousins we headed to Target. On the way there Keira took her afternoon nap. In Target she sat in the cart like a nice toddler for about 5 sec and than wanted to be let out. So she crawled around Target getting into trouble and destroying packages of woman's underwear.

Today we babysat Keira's cousins - Gabriel and Isaac. I think the part Keira liked best about their house was the ungated stairs. Everytime I turned around she was headed up the stairs again!!! Gabe and Isaac wanted to have a boxing match- which we did!

We have been busy the past few days. Yesterday we went to visit Sarah who has some cool new outdoor toys. A new sandbox being one of them!

Party Prep

Every year we have a Memorial Day BBQ in the backyard. Since Keira's birthday is Sunday June first we figured we would combine the parties. Yesterday we did prep work ALL day. It was fun though and Paul and Alli and Mike's parents came over to help

The prep started at 6 am when I put the pork roast and beef roasts in the crock pot to make BBQed pulled pork and beef.


Keira 's special gluten free, wheat free, dairy free, soy free, egg free, nut free cupcakes. They are actually yummy. I tasted one! They taste just like regular chocolate cake. I was going to make her a cake my self with rice flour since she can't have wheat but I got lazy and bought this mix instead.

Lots and Lots of chicken drumsticks ready for the oven. I baked them yesterday and today we will grill them with BBQ sauce.


And the cupcake masterpiece. Its covered with plastic so its sort of hard to read. But Paul, Mike and Alli frosted and decorated all the cupcakes. They are all regular cupcakes except the 2 unfrosted ones in the middle. ( those are the wheat free, dairy free... etc etc) I have to make a special dairy free frosting for those. One is for Keira and the other one is for Mr. Vegan.
