Happy 8 Months toothless Monkey!!

He stands/ climbs on EVERYTHING and falls off most of it....

Israel likes to chew on the strap to the camera. He crawled to me as soon as I grabbed the camera. When I sat him on the floor so I could take his picture he get very irritated about the fact that I wasn't giving him the camera to chew on!

Keira's Build-a Bear

Keira has wanted to go to build a bear for months... ever since she saw that you could buy "glass slippers" for the bear. So since she got some money for her birthday we took her there on Sunday and she made the pinkest/ girliest bear you can possibly imagine. Its a pink bear with a pink dress and pink glass slippers. She loves it and named it Princess.

Saturday Adventures

We started the day off by picking up our first jar of fresh, raw milk from a farm about 10 min away. I am excited to say that so far so good.... meaning even though I am lactose intolerant and can't normally tolerate milk it hasn't bothered my stomach at all. We visted the animals and took a long ( and hot and sweaty ) walk with the kids and some friends of ours. After lunch and naps it was dress up time.... Mike is not amused that I am taking his picture while Keira insisted her wear a tutu.....

Keira looking pretty

We lost Israel and found him playing in our closet. He is so fast. One min he is in the room and then you turn around and he is gone.

Poor boy.... Keira insisted he play dress up too.

Mike biking with Keira in the Ergo. She loved it! We are going to get a Bike seat so she can ride with him.

Wallis Sands

Mike worked about a million extra hours last weekend so he was able to take today off. We headed to Wallis Sands beach and attempted swimming, sand castle building, and of course plenty of sunshine to up those pathetic Vit D levels. Lets the say the water felt like a glass of ice water. It stung it was so cold!! We would go in for 2 min and come out and literally you could feel your legs defrosting and getting less numb. SO SO COLD. Keira didn't seem to care. We have to bribe her out of the water and after sitting in the sun for 5 min and still shivering she was asking to go back in!!!!

This girl loves the beach. I think its her favorite place!

Trying to keep little monkey from burning as I couldn't find out sun block.

Sand castle building

This is when we first when down to the ice water and Keira filling up her watering can and where do you think she headed first? To her brother's head of course!!! Thankfully we were able to intervene just as she was tipping it over his head and we spared him the shock of having ice water dumped on his head. So I convinced her to dump the freezing water on my leg instead of her brother's head. Some day she might learn to love him.......

Looking forward to our week at the beach in July and hopefully some warmer water!!

Is Sand good for you????

Israel seems to think so. Even after we washed his hands and tried to get the salt off he kept licking his fingers trying to get the salt off.

Keira's 3rd Birthday Videos

These were taken on Keira's 3rd Birthday.

Happy Third Birthday Keira!!!

Despite having a slight fever and not feeling that great I am pretty sure Keira and everyone else had a great time at her party. Mike had the great idea of doing water balloons and water guns and a slip N slide for all the kids ( mostly the older ones) and the kids were entertained for hours! We had great food, great weather, and great conversation. 3 years have gone by fast!

Dear Keira

I can't believe how much has changed in one year!! You are potty trained, You are still sweet and easy going but now you have a fiercely independent streak and can occasionally cause some problems! :o) You adore all things sparkly, frilly, girly, and of course princessy. 90% of the time you will wear only dresses and you have to pick out your clothes most of the time. You still love love love books and we probably read 8-10 stories to you every day. Once in a while we have to distract you as daddy and have each have a personal limit of how many times in one day we can read the story of Cinderella!! Now that daddy has 99% completed your playhouse you love it!! You make great use of our back yard. Hopefully we will be able to move soon and than daddy can put up our giant new swing set. You happily spend a good part of everyday swinging in your swing.
Lately you are very much into paint, stickers and coloring. You also love stories about Ballet and since a friend of ours is a preschool ballet teacher we have decided to enroll you in Saturday morning ballet classes in the fall!!! That should be fun! You still talk about going to the beach with your cousins and in less than 2 months we will take our annual beach vacation.

Happy Birthday Princess!!!! You bring some much joy and fun into our lives!

The cake in all its glory!

Mike did it all so I can't take credit for any of it!
