Happy 18 months Keira!!!

Keira is growing up so fast! Today she is 18 months old. We spent the better part of the day driving to Boston and back for a check up with her pulmonolgist/ asthma doc. Keira has had a cough/ upper airway congestion for more than 2 weeks that doesn't seem to want to go away. We have been in touch her doc via email and she agreed to add Keira to a packed schedule today. She switched around some of her meds and instead of a nebulizer we are going to give her the steroids via inhaler and aero- chamber ( see pic above) Keira is not a fan of mask and inhaler at all and screamed her head off this evening when we gave her her bedtime dose.. we have to do it twice a day and more if needed so hopefully she gets used to it. The doc thinks she will probably have to be on inhaled steroids all Winter at least. But was happy that the doc agreed with me that although Keira sounds awful when she breathes she is doing okay and not laboring to breathe and her oxygen levels are perfect.
