Blueberries

We took a break from our disaster zone of a house and went blueberry picking which is always a family favorite. So far we have had fruit salad and blueberry french toast with many more blueberry treats to come.

So here are the before pictures again in case you forgot....

And AFTER!!!!!!!!!!! We removed wallpaper, carpet and lighting. Added hardwood, a ceiling fan, a closet system and new paint. Still need to add closet doors ( but they need to be painted) and put wall art up.

Last night was her first night in the bed. Mike had to sit at the top of the stairs and play policeman for about 45 min but after that she stayed put all night. She turned 2 a few months ago and now she is potty trained and sleeping in a real bed. I guess her baby days are over!

Girls bedroom progress and upstairs landing before pictures

This is the top of the stairs entering the second floor. More yucky stained old carpet. Did I mention I despise carpet????
Here you have the lived in look courtsey of the 2 and 3 year olds. I need to train them to put their PJ's away when getting dressed not dropping them in the middle of the hallway.

 Good Bye Carpet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We have made lots of progress of Keira and Nairi's room. Wall paper is gone, walls are washed and cleaned of wall paper glue ( all courtesy of me! Yes you read that right. I removed all the wallpaper myself and prepped the walls) and any nicked or damaged areas have been mudded.

 Carpet has been removed

There is the new flooring ready to go.... 3 and 1/4 inch Bellawood Hickory from Lumber Liquidators. Its going to be beautiful. We have enough to do the hallway as well.  So next up is the flooring, paint walls and trim and ceiling and install new ceiling fan. Then its the fun part, decorating!
