Truck Fail / House fail
The truck failed inspection yesterday. It needs a new muffler and a few other things. Mike doesn't want to put $1000 into it. We don't plan on doing any major housing projects in the near future. Going to be too crazy with kids I think. So I think we are going to end up with a commuter car of some sort. I wish we could get by with one car but I think I might lose my sanity if I was stuck home all day every day. MIke decided to post the truck on craigslist this afternoon. I don't think he was expecting any interest because he failed to tell me.
About 20 minutes after Mike posted the ad, I get a from a guy asking about the truck on craigslist. I told him he had the wrong number. He tells me the number on the ad and it is the correct one. I asked him what year the truck was and he said it was 1989 and Red/Black, so I said "yep, that's our truck, I guess my husband put it on Craigslist without telling me". I took his name and number down and forwarded it to Mike.
I hung up and 2 seconds later the phone rings again. By the end of the day we have received 5 phone calls and 2 people have come to look at the truck. If only we had such good luck with our house.
We were supposed to have a showing today. The couple called this afternoon and said they were going to reschedule for Thursday. This same couple did the same thing last week. It starting to get slightly annoying. Picking up toys, doing all the laundry, cleaning the bathrooms and kitchen is alot of work for my nauseous self right now and having done it all twice only to have the people cancel is driving me nuts. Its no small feat to clean a house and keep it clean till the end of the day showing with the kids around since they constantly mess everything up.

Due date
If you are observant you will notice that I changed my pregnancy ticker. I had an ultrasound Friday. Never had an early ultrasound before- never had an ultrasound before 18 weeks. It was solely for dating purposes. Most people know that ultrasounds are not really accurate for due dates later on in a pregnancy but supposedly they are pretty accurate early on. When we met with our NFP teacher she gave us 2 due dates... I trust the NFP due date the most because Keira was born one day before her NFP due date and Israel was born on his NFP due date. So I was given April 1st and April 13th as possible due dates based on 2 possible conception days.
The ultrasound due date was April 2nd. Without getting into to many details even though I don't really understand how April first or second is possible, we are gonna roll with it. I have yet to hit 40 weeks with a pregnancy so having a questionable due date probably won't be that big of a deal for me ( I hope).
I was able to see the heart beating or if you want to be technical "flickering" on the screen so that was pretty cool. So I'm apparently 7 weeks and 1 day pregnant. Looking forward to the 18 week ultrasound so we can find out the sex. Our current list stands at 0 name ideas for boys and 1 solid choice for a girl that we both like so far.....
I would definitely prefer to have a house full of girls than a house full of boys but being that this baby and Israel are going to be 18 months apart it would be kinda nice if they were the same sex so they could play together . So I guess I could go either way with which sex I would prefer. Although I think I am leaning more toward girl.

Due Date?
After meeting with our NFP teacher we still don't know really when this surprise child was conceived. Logically it doesn't make sense. Hence we can't figure out a due date. It could be as early as March 29th or as late as April 13th. So for now I just picked April 10th and went with that. Which puts me at almost 5 weeks. Not sure if I will ask for a dating u/s or not. We will def have one around 18-20 weeks to determine the baby's sex and to check the baby's heart for any issues.
At this point I am going to interview the midwife that took over the midwife's office in Concord ( where I went for the later half of my pre natals when pregnant with Israel) and take it from there.

Keira's trip to the ER
Tuesday Keira's breathing got progressively worse throughout the day. She was continuously wheezing and not improving after her inhaler. She was also getting a little short of breath while talking. She did have a cold so I'm guessing that's what triggered the asthma attack. Mike took her to the ER in the evening and they gave her several nebs and a course of oral steroids. She was supposed to take the steroids twice a day but they made her very wound up and she had a hard time sleeping so we now just give them once in the am. I spoke to her asthma doc and she is going to go back on her inhaled steroids early. ( She usually only takes them Sept-April). So instead of waiting till the cooler weather arrives in Sept we will be started her inhaled steroids in a few days after she is done with the oral ones.
It was her first trip to the Er and she had a grand time. Mike took her while I stayed home to put Israel to sleep. When they got back she excitedly told me about how she got apple juice AND a Popsicle. How she got to watch a princess movie and got lots of princess stickers. And of course she showed me her bracelet with her name on it. She had a grand time. We are all glad to see her breathing has much improved.

When in doubt take 4
pregnancy tests that is. Even though I know there is no such thing as a false positive. I just kept taking them. If you know me you know that I am a planner. I plan everything ahead of time. Especially babies. I had a long list of things I wanted to happen before we would try for baby number 3. They included things like getting Israel to sleep through the night. Getting Israel night weaned. Getting Israel well established on solid food in case my milk supply tanks. Losing another 5 lbs. Lifting weights and getting super fit again. Making a bunch of meals for the freezer so when I am dealing with morning sickness we don't end up spending hundreds of dollars on take out ( yes that really happened) Our usual take out budget is less than $30 for a month- not hundreds of dollars. Getting Keira to actually like her brother. I am not mentally ready to go through another pregnancy just yet. The list goes on and on.
In the 3 days since I have known about it I am beginning to get some peace. I am never adventurous enough to actually want kids 18 months apart. But the older I get the more I learn how little is really in our control and just how messy life really is. Not to mention as Catholics the only acceptable method of family planning is NFP ( which we faithfully use). I'll survive- just desperately praying that I am not that sick this time. I need to be able to take care of my kids!!!! And I don't want to miss any of Israel's growth either since he is still so little. I'm also very much praying that I can have enough milk to get Israel to a year at least. The thought of another baby is always exciting. I truly love love love the baby stage. The thought of another 9 months of purgatory not so much.
Keira's balance Bike
Mike and I found this cool bike on Ebay. Its different than a regular bike in that it has no pedals. Kids must learn to balance first and than "ride" the bike with their legs. Its hard to understand but once you see it in video it makes sense and its really really cool!! If anyone is interested just google Mini Glider Bike.
