When I went to get Keira out of her crib from her am nap she was standing up!!! She stands on pretty much everything but for some reason had never stood in her crib.
My chocolate chip Irish soda bread. Usually I make it with raisins but Mike hates raisins so I tried it with chocolate chips- Its really yummy. This is what happens when you are snowed in.. you bake sugary good stuff

She looks proud of herself! Jo keeps standing up by herself in the playard and I'm impressed every time she does it because the edge she needs to hold on to is so much higher than if she were to do it in the crib. Do you guys have a playard or pack n' play?
Your choco chip bread looks like a choc chip pound cake we made for Easter. It was super rich, but a hit with the kids when we took it to our friend's house.
I wish i had the time to bake - I love all the goodies you post on your website and am getting excited for my cooking classes I am taking in the fall!
Also, I cannot believe that you have her ears pierced!!! I just noticed it in another picture! So cute - did she cry and when did you get it done?
We don't have a pack and play.. we are getting one soon though for the basement as I need someplace to confine her while i do laundry.
I love pierced ears on babys!! She barely cried when it was done (she was 3 months) I think she cried more because we were holding her head still.

Congrats Keira!
Your bread looks yummy. You inspired me to bake so I just put a banana bread in the oven! I would love to try yours though!
Yum! It is such a surprise the first time you come in to find them not laying down where you left them, like the first time they sit up on their own in the crib or the first time they stand up on their own. It reminds you that they are becoming independant little people!
