Samuel's Baptism

One kid sleeping, one hiding his face from the camera, one biting their nails and one scowling. We photograph well don't we?

My first kid to not cry while being dunked  dipped into the water.

Believe it or not we forgot to take a picture of him in his gown....oops! We were too busy setting up brunch for 70 people!

The boys in this house are on Cloud 9

Oh yeah. Mike is the proud new owner of  this craftsman riding mower.
Israel is beside himself with excitement.

They push mow together and now they can ride together. Mike's friend and co worker upgraded to a new and nicer model and was kind enough to pass this on to us. Let me tell you.... these boys are HAPPY! Our yard is definitely not large enough to warrant the purchase of one of these things but considering the mower  and tractor obsession that goes on in this house this thing will be used not only to mow the yard but to give kids rides around the neighborhood for sure. I can see one of those pull behind wagons in our future.  I think in the fall when we rake our usual 60+ bags of leaves this kind might just come in handy.

I know lollipops are terrible for their teeth but hey she POOPED in the potty!! And they are organic dye free lollipops so that must make them healthy!

Ballet is much more exciting that mowing....

Remodel of Keira and Nairi's room

Our second floor is virtually untouched since moving in. We painted the master bedroom and Israel's room and replaced the upstairs toilets but other than that its remained blah and beige and very 1992. Keira and Nairi's room is the largest bedroom other than the master. It has 2 south facing windows so its nice and sunny but very much in need of some TLC. We have the wallpaper, the gold AC/heating grate, the dirty beige carpet, the outdated lightening and the off white trim. In the pics below you can see the DIY canopy bed that Mike made her. Its a queen sized bed so it does fill up the room. After its finished we are moving the girls in together for the first time. Plan is to put white twin bunks in there, remove wallpaper, paint room and trim, change lighting to ceiling fan with lights, and rip up carpet and add hardwood floors.

We started on the wall paper removal yesterday. As always its a hot and steamy  and tedious job.

Happy 3 months Samuel!

Another thumb sucker

He even hooks his nose just like his older sister used too.

 Keira at age 2

First Baseball Game

Keira did a reading challenge at school and received tickets to the local minor league team home game. The kids have never been to a baseball game before ( we are not really a sports family!) so they were so excited to go to the game. It started pouring as Mike pulled out of the garage. They went to the stadium and hung out for a while but the game was rained out. We still have the tickets and hope to try and see another game.
Dairy Queen came to the rescue to sooth their broken hearts.

Family fun day at SBA

Keira's school had family fun day and the kids had a blast

Kindergarten Graduation 2013

Nutritious dinner of 5 Guys burgers picked by Keira
A very flattering picture of the graduate
I am not usually a sappy sentimental type of person but seriously their "show" was adorable. They recited a prayer, sang us songs ( even sang and danced the Macarena in SPANISH!!), and put on skits.

These two were very hilarious sitting on the floor together watching the show and singing and dancing with the Kindergarten kids.

The army of God is rejoicing that David beat Goliath.
 Then they started wrestling
Keira in a dog costume for the skit "The Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly!"

 Getting her certificate!
And now she is a first grader! And ( sniff sniff) next year she goes off to college right?
