Last night I went to Jo-Ann's Fabric store and met up with Debbie the talented woman who will be making Keira's quilt. I picked out 16 different fabrics that will make up her 9 patch quilt. They are all light greens and purples.

This one (^) is soft flannel and will make up the inside of the quilt ( the part that touches the sheets and that you won't see when the quilt is on the bed). The rest of the fabric is cotton.

I think its going to look great and I can't wait to see the finished product. I have to wash and iron all the fabric and then drop it off at her house where she will do all the hard work of putting it together!!!
After being in the fabric store for 2 hours I told Mike maybe its a good thing I can't sew. There are so many cool fabrics and so much cool stuff you could make if you could sew. I could see myself spending tons of money there!

Don't they have the cutest fabrics there? I went once to pick out fabric for a blanket and pillow cases to be made for Jo by my brother's girlfriend's mother who is amazing at that type of stuff. Every time I turned around I fell in love with something else. This looks like it's going to be adorable! Can't wait to see the finished product!

I can't wait to see it! I've only made crib size quilts and would love to try a bed size quilt. Maybe that will be my goal for next year! And, Joann's Fabrics is not a good place to can spend sooo much money there!
