Good bye remainder of my 1950's kitchen!

Some of you may remember that January ( 2008) I flew to Iowa for a week so that Mike could remodel our kitchen. During the process Mike bought the bottom cabinets ( oak) and decided to build the top ones. Over the course of a few months he built the upper cabinets in half the kitchen and then ordered doors for them online. After doing some research Mike decided that we could buy them pre made for slightly more than it cost him to build... and since he has multiple projects going on right now we decided to order them. They were finally delivered today!!!!! So now all my kitchen cabinets will match!!! This pic is of Keira enjoying all the new stuff to play with since I had to empty all the cabinets that were going to be demoed tonight.

The demo begins...

The new ones..

In boxes

The way the kitchen looks pre- demo. The ones above the fridge are the ones Mike built...

The upper dark stained ones with the white backgrounds are the ones coming down (obviously)

Up close and personal with the ugly things!!!!!!
After the new cabinets go up we need to do the back splash and then the kitchen will be done!!!

Yeah for you! I now know the one person who can sympathize with me with the ongoing projects! Chris has been working on our basement for about 2 years! I am HOPING it will be done soon...
